Club Championship
Continuing from a successful first year, the Club Championship is now a feature of our congress where the best performing Club at the congress will receive a £500 prize along with a commemorative plaque.
Requirements
- Clubs must be affiliated with a federation such as the ECF and have their own bank account
- A minium of 6 players are required
- Clubs can join together (maximum of 2) but they will then have to share any prizes - it'll be upto the individuals to declare a proposed partnership and inform others to join the combined club!
- Players can choose who to represent, even if they do not play for a Club - this choice will not affect who you are affiliated to by the ECF.
Scoring
At the end of the congress each player will be awarded points as follows :-
- 3 points will be awarded for all black wins
- 2 points for white wins
- 1 point for a draw
- 0 points for a loss and for any byes regardless of whether they were arranged
The points from the top performing players from each club will be added together to determine the Club's final score.

- lowest number of players representing the Club
- player ellimination starting with the top performing player
