Club Tournament 2025

This is a new tournament running with our congress to see which is the best performing Club at the congress and a £400 prize will be awardrd to the winning Club along with a commemorative plaque.

It is highly likely this will become a feature of our future congresses and hope will help Clubs thrive.

Requirements

• Clubs must be affiliated with a federation such as the ECF and have their own bank account
• A minium of 6 players are required
• Clubs can join together (maximum of 2) but they will then have to share any prizes - it'll be upto the individuals to declare a proposed partnership and inform others to join the combined club!
• Players can choose who to represent, even if they do not play for a Club

Scoring

At the end of the congress each player will be awarded points as follows :-

• 3 points will be awarded for all black wins
• 2 points for white wins
• 1 point for a draw
• 0 points for a loss and for any byes regardless of whether they were arranged

The points from the top performing players from each club will be added together to determine the Club's final score.

Tie break

• highest score
• lowest number of players representing the Club
• player ellimination starting with the top performing player

Clubs league table includes all games played so far except for Minor's round 3!
